Chris brings a unique set of management skills to CBR Cycling. After working in Border Protection for 15 years, including a 3 year posting to Washington DC, Chris returned to Canberra to focus on fuelling its caffeine addiction through his business: Two Before Ten Coffee Roasters.
In mid-2015 Chris was approached to be more than a sponsor of CBR Cycling and take over management of the team. His business and executive management skills have helped transform the team into a well-oiled professional organisation with long-term goals for racing success, both domestically and internationally. Providing opportunities for women to pursue their dreams as professional athletes, and the impact this has on building a healthy Australia is a significant factor in Chris' ongoing involvement with the team.
Chris happily waves the MAMIL flag and isn't afraid to don the lyrcra... Except when he has to race against the formidable Vie13-KOM girls in local crit races!
Jessie brings a wealth of cycling experience to the Director Sportif role, after representing Australia on the track and road and racing professionally for 8 years in Europe and the United States.
She took on the role of DS for CBR Cycling in late 2015 after 3 years with ORICA-AIS. Her presence has been integral to re-building the team following the departure of key athletes in the 2015 season.
Jessie's professional experiences will be integral to pursuing CBR Cycling's goal of providing opportunities for women to race internationally, particularly in North America.
Jessie is currently completing a degree in International Studies at the University of Canberra and works for the Grains Research and Development Corporation.
